Ryan takes the 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road on a family trip to Crater Lake, where he enjoys the sights and get some use of the Crawl Control system on a sandy and loose surface. Even though the entertainment tech is out of date, and it rides like a truck, is this 4Runner still worth consideration?

I just drove a 2016 Tacoma TRD-Pro for the weekend , and man is that thing a pile of crap. Don’t see any reason to buy one new when they haven’t updated much since about 2007. They way crawl control acts at the lowest setting is unsettling, constantly bucking the car back and forth. I’m not sure what the “modes” do, because as far as I could tell the shift points and throttle mapping are the same between them.
